Writing Term 4
Kaydence made a goal (which is highlighted in pink on the writing code) of writing on the line. She has decided she has still not made that goal and needs to continue working on this goal. She has decided she has achieved finger spaces, initial sounds and lots of sounds in her words. Kaydence thinks she still needs to consolidate her capital letters and full stops.

My Reading Pathway
I am pointing to where I am on the room 17 reading pathway.
I am currently reading at blue three (one level from Government expectation of Green).
I am working on the following:
- I can listen to myself as I read and check that it makes sense, sounds right and looks like
- I know the common words
- I am beginning to ask and answer questions about the books I read. I am learning to say; what I know about it already and ask questions to find out more.
Teacher Voice: "Kaydence is close to the government standard for reading which is green (the expectation for a child who has been at school for a year). She is currently one level from green. Well done Kaydence I realise you find reading tricky sometimes but I love that you try and use strategies such as your growing letter sounds, clues from the pictures and thinking about what would make sense to work out what the words say. Keep working hard and using different strategies and you will continue moving through our reading pathway. I'm very proud of you!"- Miss H
